Shell gas station Wilnis opened with Tony’s Street Food: ‘Complete service station for the region’

The Shell petrol station on the Mijdrechtse Dwarsweg in Wilnis, Utrecht, has opened with a large and luxurious Tony’s Street Food shop after months of refurbishment. At the end of June, wash boxes will also open at the De Haan Tankstations site, followed by a car wash.
With the renovation, the service station on the busy road through the Mijdrecht-Wilnis business park has become a real service station where refuelling, eating and relaxing are central. After months of refurbishment, the service station now offers refuelling facilities and visitors who are hungry and thirsty can visit a brand-new shop according to the Tony’s Street Food formula developed in-house by De Haan. The very spacious and luxurious shop with seating, the first in Wilnis, focuses on freshly prepared sandwiches, burgers, snacks and barista coffee by Lavazza on site. According to De Haan, the revamped interior with its distinctive red benches invites customers to enjoy a quiet moment, while customers who want to move on quickly benefit from the grab-and-go range.
Further expansion
The renovation of Shell Wilnis is not yet complete: at the end of June the wash boxes will open in phases, followed by a modern car wash. Charging stations, parcel points and additional services are also in the pipeline. According to De Haan, Shell Wilnis is thus developing into a complete service station for the region, where convenience and hospitality take centre stage. To celebrate the opening, there will be attractive introductory prices on both fuel and sandwiches in the first weeks.
De Haan Tankstations operates a network of around 180 service stations in the Netherlands. These operate under the Haan, Shell, BP and Esso brand names.
