Fieten Olie places first four Pizza Point vending machines at unmanned refuelling locations

Fieten Olie is expanding the number of Pizza Point locations it has in the Netherlands. The fourth location with a hot pizza vending machine developed by the company has opened at Fieten Olie’s unmanned petrol station in Gorredijk. The Hollandscheveld-based company says new locations will be added “soon”.
After launching the pizza concept last December, Fieten Olie has placed a total of four Pizza Point vending machines at its own unmanned filling stations. As a result, visitors who fancy a hot pizza can now visit the Fieten Olie stations in Hollandscheveld in Drenthe, Opende and Oude Pekela in the province of Groningen and, since the end of May, the company’s De Kromten station in Gorredijk in Friesland. Developed in-house by Fieten Olie, Pizza Point consists of a large strikingly designed vending machine with canopy that prepares a hot pizza in five minutes. Consumers can choose from six variants. A range of snacks and chilled soft drinks is also part of the concept.
Demand
“We have the locations and I think there is demand,” managing director Richard Fieten told Mobility Energy during the first presentation last year. A pizza from Pizzapunt is ready in five minutes and payment is cashless. With Pizzapunt, Fieten Olie wants to respond to increasing consumer demand for convenience on the road. The concept also makes it possible to offer the food and drink hits at unmanned service stations.
Fieten Olie currently has 82 filling stations in all provinces of the Netherlands. Eleven of these are in Friesland and the majority of the locations are unmanned. In the coming years, the formula aims to grow to at least 100 filling stations.
