Imbema installs first 6-in-1 MultiTerminal at Falcon Carwash: ‘This way we offer more services’

Imbema, supplier of smart solutions for the carwash industry, among others, installed the company’s latest innovation at Falcon Carwash in Ritthem, Zeeland, two months ago: the 6-in-1 MultiTerminal. It is the first location in the Netherlands where the multifunctional machine is in practical use.
The introduction of Imbema’s MultiTerminal fits within a broader development in the carwash industry. Entrepreneurs are looking for ways to use their locations even more efficiently and offer customers more convenience. Imbema wants to capitalise on this trend with a compact unit that brings together multiple services and can be used for both the interior and exterior care of the vehicle.
For example, the MultiTerminal has a powerful hoover, a tornado nozzle that removes stubborn dirt from air vents, a compressed air gun to clean dashboards, corners and seams, a tyre pump, tyre gloss for a deep black look with UV protection against drying out and a fragrance atomiser that provides a subtle, ecological fragrance experience.
Extra functions, extra service
Imbema’ s first MultiTerminal was recently installed at Falcon Carwash in Ritthem, after they came across it on Imbema’s stand during the Car Wash Show Europe 2025 trade fair in Vijfhuizen. “Normally at our locations we actually only have the ‘simple’ hoovers, but because the MultiTerminal has extra functions, we found it interesting,” says Falcon Carwash owner Diederik de Klerk. “It allows us to offer more services to our customers.”
Through that 6-in-1 feature, the MultiTerminal should ensure that the average spend per customer is higher, thereby increasing the location’s turnover. Generally, a customer will spend longer because they will not only vacuum, but also, for example, inflate the tyres or perfume the car. De Klerk: “Although we have only had the MultiTerminal for two months and it is difficult to draw any firm conclusions yet, it seems that people are spending more money because of this machine. If we compare it to just the hoover at the moment, it is 20 to 25 per cent higher turnover for us. For us, this is still a pilot, but for now at least we are excited.”

Integrated payment system
To increase spending per customer, Falcon Carwash’s payment system has been integrated into the MultiTerminal. Instead of one fixed low amount, customers can now easily choose from multiple options, such as five, seven or 10 euros. “And we see that immediately,” says De Klerk. “Where customers normally stick to two euros, they now more often choose a higher amount. This flexibility means that average spending is clearly rising. Incidentally, we were also able to have our MultiTerminal personalised, so it is now completely in our house style in Ritthem.”
According to De Klerk, communication with Imbema was smooth throughout the project. “What contributes to this is also Imbema’s enthusiasm. We have contact with account manager Theo van Poppel and that is very pleasant. We speak to each other a lot and get support where necessary. Once we have had the MultiTerminal up and running for six months, we will evaluate it internally. The first impressions are positive.”
