Following the petrol station and charging facilities, there is now also a new Circle K car wash at TotalEnergies Den Ruygen Hoek-West

The Circle K car wash at the TotalEnergies petrol station at Den Ruygen Hoek-West on the A4 motorway near Hoofddorp has been refurbished. The maximum wash height has been increased, meaning that larger vehicles can now also use the car wash. Following the refurbishment, Den Ruygen Hoek-West now offers a petrol station shop with a bakery, charging facilities and a car wash, all in the Circle K style.
The new rollover, which has been raised from 2.20 to 2.80 metres, will be officially opened on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August. During the opening days, visitors can take advantage of various special offers, with a car wash costing five euros instead of ten euros. Visitors who take a photo and tag the location on social media will be in with a chance of winning a free car wash. According to Andy Verbruggen, car wash manager at Circle K, the car wash site on the A4 is no ordinary location. He states on LinkedIn that this is the only motorway service station offering car wash services, both within Circle K’s own network and in the Netherlands as a whole.
Petrol station with shop
The Den Ruygen Hoek-West service station is situated on the A4 near Hoofddorp, close to Schiphol Airport. The site features a TotalEnergies service station housing the largest Circle K shop in the Netherlands. There are also charging facilities and a tyre pump. The site is considered one of the busiest petrol stations in the Netherlands. Operations were transferred from BP to TotalEnergies in 2020.
Following TotalEnergies’ divestment of its retail and card operations in January 2024 and their acquisition by the Canadian company Alimentation Couche-Tard/Circle K, the shop was converted to a Circle K last year. The new shop opened in August 2025 and is the largest in the Netherlands in terms of floor space.
