Allego opens fast-charging hub at Hornbach Tilburg

Charging operator Allego has opened a fast-charging plaza at DIY store Hornbach in Tilburg. It is the first opening of a total of 20 new fast-charging hubs in Hornbach’s car parks, as part of a previously announced cooperation.
The new fast-charging plaza, located on Hestiastraat 1, features a total of two 150 kW Kreisel fast chargers, with four fast-charging spots. With these, Allego says a charging session takes around 20 minutes. According to both parties, charging while shopping immediately saves time, “especially for professional handymen who increasingly drive zero-emission commercial vehicles.”
The opening in Tilburg is the first of the twenty fast-charging hubs Allego and Hornbach intend to realise together. This is part of the previously announced cooperation, in which it was reported that at least 160 new fast-charging spots will be realised in DIY store car parks.
In sixteen countries
Allego was founded in 2013 as an operator of public charging infrastructure. Its network now covers 35,000 charging points, both AC and DC/HPC chargers, in 16 European countries. Through its cooperation with Hornbach, Allego will soon have eighty fast-charging hubs.
