€8 million for research into new generation of sodium ion batteries

Electric trucks, buses, ships and the power grid, among others, could benefit from a new and better generation of sodium-ion batteries. With an €8 million grant in its pocket, a consortium led by the University of Twente will research the improvement and practical application of these materials.
