Tango opens third filling station in Zoetermeer, soon to include loading and wash boxes

Zoetermeer already had two Tango filling stations, but now a third branch of the formula has opened at the intersection of Olof Palmelaan and Opticaweg.
Refuelling will be possible and later on, fast chargers will also be available. In the coming weeks, construction is underway on six wash boxes that will be operated by Vissers Energy Group. Kuwait Petroleum Nederland had received permission from the municipality of Zoetermeer to build a petrol station with a car wash and large manned shop on the site, but opted for an unmanned branch anyway. The filling station stands out because of a striking buckled awning.
Zoetermeer’s best-known Tango is located at Knorrestein stop on the A12 motorway and is one of the very few Tango motorway locations in the Netherlands. As a result of the lease rights auction organised by the Rijksvastgoedbedrijf, this location went from EG Retail to Kuwait in September 2024. The latter party had almost 8.1 million euros to obtain the station’s lease rights for 15 years. Since that time an unmanned Tango, motorists can still go there at a manned Moments & More, the shop formula of Vissers Energy Group with which Q8 has cooperated for several years. Spread across the Netherlands, Tango has around two hundred refuelling locations.
