TotalEnergies reaches milestone of 150 DC fast charging points in the Netherlands

TotalEnergies says it reached a ‘milestone’ in the Netherlands this week: the energy giant has commissioned its 150th DC fast charging point.
The company says it is working step by step towards “accessible charging infrastructure, close to home, backed by the scale and experience of one of Europe’s largest charging networks. All major international energy giants are investing in the rollout of charging facilities and TotalEnergies is no exception. Following the sale of the company’s retail business to Canada’s Alimentation Couche-Tard/Circle K, the French energy giant is focusing even more on alternative energy sources, such as electric charging. In the Netherlands, the counter currently stands at 18,163 charging points, mainly found in urban areas. In Belgium, the network has 9,500 charging points. The company’s DC fast chargers, with charging capacities of up to 300 kW, are mainly found at motorway locations. Of these, the 150th was commissioned in the Netherlands this week.
“The completion of our 150th DC charging point shows what we stand for: smart, consistent and reliable charging, with an eye to the future,” said Stefan Evers, managing director charging solutions Netherlands at TotalEnergies.
In 2024, TotalEnergies took 1,850 charging points into operation in the Netherlands, the goal is to have achieved at least 25,000 charging points by 2025.
