Bram Giliam appointed new GemaQ director, succeeds Letteke van der Kruk

Bram Giliam has been appointed managing director at GemaQ, the cooperative retail purchasing organisation for independent petrol station operators, with effect from 17 March 2026. In doing so, he succeeds Letteke van der Kruk.
Giliam had already served as GemaQ’s ad interim managing director since March last year. During this period, he proved himself to be a stable and committed leader, according to the organisation. Based on Giliam’s experience and the confidence of all concerned, it was decided to make the appointment permanent. Giliam will join Ron van den Heuvel, director of purchasing and category management, to form GemaQ’s management board.
Successor Van der Kruk
Giliam succeeds Letteke van der Kruk, who contributed to the further professionalisation and positioning of the organisation with her strategic and creative approach. GemaQ thanks Van der Kruk, who joined the organisation in July 2021, for her dedication and commitment over the past years and wishes her every success in her further career.
Commenting on LinkedIn, Van der Kruk said she “looks back with appreciation on what we have built together.”
Trust
With Giliam’s appointment, GemaQ states it is “looking to the future with confidence” and the cooperative is continuing the course it has set, with continued focus on growth and profitability improvement for its members.
Earlier, GemaQ announced that it had appointed Gerbert Vissers, owner and director of Vissers Energy Group, as chairman. Vissers thereby succeeded Rob van Herpen.
