Sakko collaboration with Quiosk: vending machines at ten unmanned service station locations

Sakko Commercial has entered into a partnership with Quiosk. As a result, around ten unmanned petrol stations in Sakko’s network across the Netherlands will have a vending machine on the forecourt offering soft drinks, energy drinks and snacks.
In the coming months, Sakko will install a total of around ten Quiosk vending machines at its own unmanned filling stations across the Netherlands. “We are super proud of our cooperation with Sakko,” said Quiosk, which reports having “big plans” with the new partner. “As an experienced petrol station operator, they know like no other what counts on the road: convenience, speed and quality. And that is exactly why we are joining forces. Together we will ensure a better stop on the road.”
Sakko is not the first petrol station company to cooperate with Quiosk. For instance, convenience store formula Spar announced last October that it had entered into a partnership with Quiosk. Several unmanned Esso Express locations of EG Group have been equipped with vending machines in recent months as a result. Varo Energy also partnered with Quiosk last year. As a result, vending machines with food and beverages have been installed at more than 25 Argos locations.
Impulse sales
Vending machines from Quiosk can be found at over 300 locations in the Netherlands; the vast majority at unmanned petrol stations. The offer in the vending machine gives petrol entrepreneurs the opportunity to sell impulse items 24/7, even at an unmanned petrol station.
Sakko Commercial operates more than 50 filling stations in the Netherlands, divided between the brands Sakko Tankstations, BP and Esso. Four refuelling locations are unmanned. The company is also investing in the current energy transition. For example, Orange Charging, part of the Sakko Group, opened a ‘mega charging hub’ in Roosendaal last September, the largest of its kind in the southern Netherlands.
