Fourteen hydrogen filling stations in Germany to close this year: ‘Focusing on forward-looking locations’

Fourteen hydrogen filling stations in Germany will close their doors on 31 December 2025. The stations no longer meet today’s requirements, according to operator H2 Mobility. As of now, the company says it will focus on a new generation of hydrogen refuelling stations that offer significantly more capacity and are mainly aimed at the transport sector rather than hydrogen-powered passenger cars.
