Floading’s future-proof charging solutions at Mobility Energy Expo: ‘We understand charging’

At the upcoming Mobility Energy Expo, 12 and 13 November in Jaarbeurs Utrecht, Floading will be one of the leading exhibitors. The Arnhem-based company specialises in designing, installing and managing charging solutions for passenger cars and heavy transport in particular. At the trade fair, Floading is drawing special attention to its innovative DC800 satellite system, a powerful DC charging solution for fast charging of EV fleets, trucks and buses.

With the energy transition in full swing, installation and management of charging systems is in high demand in the world of transport and logistics. Whether it is for electric cars, trucks or buses, Floading has a charging solution for everyone. “We design, install and manage smart charging systems, from one-off installations to large-scale projects,” says ceo Arnaud van der Sluis. “We guarantee reliable charging with knowledge of the installation, chargers, software, maintenance and, of course, the vehicles themselves. DC800 satellite system

At the upcoming Mobility Energy Expo trade fair, Floading will present the innovative DC800 satellite system in its stand together with AMPS Energy. “This is a modular and scalable DC fast charging system with multiple power units and a capacity of up to 800 kW,” explains Van der Sluis. “This makes it ideal for fast charging one or more trucks. The DC800 is an energy management system that, like a kind of traffic controller, not only distributes the power, but also measures and controls it. The charging system offers the possibility of connecting as many as twenty plugs, which makes the DC800 unique. For trucks, the system gives maximum flexibility. The DC800 is therefore ideal for logistics, transport, large electric vehicle fleets or bus depots. All locations where fast, reliable and smart charging is the norm.”

Switching urgent

For transporters who currently still have one or more trucks running on diesel, Van der Sluis says it will become even more urgent in the coming period to make the switch to electric driving. “From 1 July 2026, domestic and foreign owners of trucks in the Netherlands will have to pay per kilometre driven. With this, the government wants to encourage sustainable transport. This truck charge will apply on almost all motorways and some provincial and municipal roads. The cleaner and lighter the vehicle is, the lower the amount per kilometre will be. The measure will sharply increase the demand for e-trucks and hence fast-charging systems for electric trucks. As a transporter or entrepreneur, it is not only important to make that switch now, customers will also start giving their orders to the companies that already drive electric. If you are not driving electric by next year, you will start losing customers. As Floading, we have the knowledge and experience to advise how best to make this switch to electric as a company.”
