Tank Station & Carwash Center Heuthorst after 35 years of BP now continues in network Kuster Energy
After 35 years in the colours of BP, Tankstation & Carwash Center Heuthorst in Gendringen, Gelderland, will from this week continue in the network of Kuster Energy. The re-colouring of the manned service station will take place at a later date.
The history of the service station between Ulft and the German border goes back to 1935 when it sold petroleum and bicycles. In the 1960s, the family business made the switch to selling car fuels. After years on Grotestraat in Gendringen, the petrol station moved to its current location on Industrieweg in 1980. In 1986, the station was expanded to include the Carwash Centre. This currently consists of a car wash with rollover and three wash boxes. Starting in 1990 under the BP banner, the manned service station is displaying the colours of the British energy giant for exactly 35 years this year.
From this week, BP Tank Station & Carwash Center Heuthorst will be operated by Kuster Energy. ‘This is a very nice addition to our network,’ said the Babberich-based company. The renewal of the location to Kuster Energy’s formula will take place at a later date.
Kuster Energy has a network of nearly 50 filling stations in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Some of the locations have manned shops according to the Kuster Energy Point formula. The company has been adding fast-charging poles in Germany since this spring. The vast majority of Kuster Energy filling stations are in the province of Gelderland. In Germany, the formula is close to 10 refuelling locations.
