Entrepreneurs in the border region, including petrol station owners, are concerned about the growing number of consumers filling up their tanks in Germany and Belgium across the border, buying smokes and food and drink because they are significantly cheaper there than in the Netherlands. ‘The fight against high excise rates continues’.
