E.ON, Norlys, OK, Tesla, Q8 and Uno-X with 86 fast chargers together at one charging station in Denmark

In the Danish town of Kliplev, just a few metres from the slip road of the E45 motorway, a charging plaza has been built where electric vehicles can access a total of 86 fast charging points. This makes it the largest fast-charging location in Denmark. However, the quantity of chargers is not the special thing; the charging plaza has been jointly set up by six different providers.
Denmark ranks in Europe as one of the countries where electric mobility is most advanced. The country’s largest charging plaza can recently be found near the town of Kliplev. Right at the entrance/exit to the E45 motorway, the major thoroughfare through the country from the German border to the cities of Aalborg and Frederikshavn, it offers a charging plaza the size of two football pitches. Here, EV owners can access a total of 86 fast charging points. This makes it the largest charging plaza with fast chargers in Denmark.
Joint
However, it is not the quantity of chargers that makes the charging hub special. For its realisation, six major European charging station providers joined forces. At the Kliplev charging plaza, Tesla is the most prominent with 48 Supercharger charging points. E.ON Drive and Clever have jointly installed 12 charging points. Q8 has eight charging points, Uno-X also has eight charging points and Norlys accounts for six charging points. OK also recently installed fast chargers at the site: eight charging points in total.
The clustering of operators and charging technologies makes Kliplev one of the most powerful mobility hubs in Europe.
All chargers present have charging capacities starting from 150 kW, and with this Kliplev surpasses other major charging plazas in Europe, such as the Seed & Greet near Hilden in Germany with 62 Tesla and Fastned charging points, Nebbenes charging plaza in Norway (54 Tesla fast chargers) and the charging plaza in Zusmarshausen, Germany, with seventy DC chargers and 36 HPC chargers.
For anyone who wants something to eat or drink while charging at the Kliplev charging plaza, they can do so at the on-site McDonald’s outlet. The charging process can be monitored from the restaurant.
