Dutch DCB Energy opens ‘flagship’ in Belgium: refuelling and charging station for cars and trucks

Dutch DCB Energy has opened an energy station at Logistic Centre Hazeldonk-Meer on the A16/E19 motorway, the company’s first in Belgium. DCB Energy calls the station, where cars and trucks can refuel and soon also recharge, the company’s new ‘flagship’.
Logistic Centre Hazeldonk-Meer is right on the border of the Netherlands and Belgium and consists of two business parks, one of which, Hazeldonk, is on Dutch territory and the other, Meer, in Belgium. The busy A16/E19 motorway cuts the site in two. At Transportzone Meer, DCB Energy has now officially opened a multi-fuel filling station. The ‘energy hub’, as the company calls it, has four sites for passenger cars, 15 for trucks and six for electric trucks. Those will find Euro 95, Euro 98, diesel, HVO100, AdBlue and GNR (red gas oil) there. In the later term, Bio-LNG will also be offered and both cars and e-trucks can fast charge there.
Expansion
DCB Energy currently has a network of 16 ‘energy hubs’. At the locations, the company offers a wide range of regular and renewable fuels for both cars and trucks. According to the company, the multi-fuel stations are always spacious with wide sidings and high canopies to accommodate the largest trucks. The facilities are also complemented with catering or other services. DCB Energy says it plans to further expand the hub network.
