Fieten Oil further expands number of Pizza Point vending machines at unmanned petrol stations

Fieten Olie continues to expand the number of Pizza Point locations it has in the Netherlands. The eighth kiosk serving hot pizza opened this week at Fieten Olie’s unmanned petrol station on Vliegveldweg in Hoogeveen.
Since launching the pizza concept last December, Fieten Olie has placed a total of eight Pizza Point vending machines at its own unmanned filling stations. Visitors in the mood for a hot pizza can now visit the Fieten Olie filling station in Hollandscheveld in Drenthe, in the province of Groningen in Opende and Oude Pekela, at the company’s station in Gorredijk in Friesland and at filling stations of the formula in Soest, Hoofddorp and Oudewater. The latest Pizza Point was placed this week at Fieten Olie on Vliegveldweg in Hoogeveen, bringing the total number of pizza outlets to eight.
Demand
Developed in-house by Fieten Olie, Pizzapunt consists of a strikingly designed vending machine with canopy that prepares a hot pizza in five minutes. Consumers can choose from six variants. A range of snacks and chilled soft drinks is also part of the concept. Payment is cashless. “We have the locations and I think there is demand for it,” managing director Richard Fieten told Mobility Energy during the first presentation last year.
With Pizza Point, Fieten Olie wants to respond to consumer demand for convenience on the road. In addition, the concept offers the possibility of offering the runners-up in food and drinks at unmanned petrol stations as well.
Fieten Oil currently has 83 petrol stations, eight of which are manned.
