For decades in the colours of Shell, petrol station Tatelaar in Didam now continues as OK

OK Retail has added two petrol stations to its network. After displaying Shell colours for decades, Tatelaar Mobility in Didam will continue as OK from 15 July. The unmanned Total Express in Nederweert has also been acquired by OK.
New to OK Retail’s network is the Total Express at the Eind in Nederweert, Limburg. Officially taken over on 25 June, the unmanned petrol station at Vakgarage Van Nieuwenhoven now shows the colours of OK. OK Nederweert-Eind offers Euro 95, SuperPlus 98 Pure, X-Drive Diesel and X-Drive Diesel Pure at the pump.
In addition, OK Retail took over the manned petrol station on the Tatelaar in Didam, Gelderland. The Strijbosch family, owner of the service location known as Tatelaar Mobility, has been operating in the region with fuels since 1933. The petrol station on the Tatelaar has been flying Shell’s colours for decades. The manned location offers a bakery under the name Brödje Didam and a wide range of services, including trailer, passenger car and van rental. Gas cylinders can also be hired there. Wash boxes and a textile launderette are also available on the premises. Officially in OK’s network from 15 July, the petrol station will be re-coloured in the coming months. ‘Fortunately, the staff currently working there will stay on board with us,’ said OK Retail general manager Johan Bogaarts.
Expansion
OK, short for Olie Konsument, is a supplier of fuels and lubricants. The company supplies the products to the business market from sales offices in Staphorst, Arnhem and Breda. The company operates an in-house developed bakery concept: OK Café. Since 2004, Dutch company Catom has owned the OK brand in the Netherlands. OK has rapidly expanded its network in the Netherlands in recent years. In June 2024, the company celebrated the milestone of 100 refuelling locations. In early June 2025, it was announced that Catom is acquiring some three hundred BP filling stations and fifteen BP Pulse charging hubs in the Netherlands. As a result of the acquisition, Catom’s retail network in the Netherlands will grow to around four hundred locations.
