UNITI expo 2026: what drives the petrol station and carwash industry?

UNITI expo 2026, the European trade fair for the petrol station and carwash industry, will open its doors at the Stuttgart Exhibition and Congress Centre from 19 to 21 May 2026. Ben Boroewitsch, organiser of the UNITI expo, gives a sneak preview.

How is the UNITI expo currently developing?

“We are experiencing an exceptional tailwind. The industry is in the midst of a transformation process, and this is reflected in the interest: we are expecting more than five hundred exhibitors and have the largest surface area ever planned so far.”

How international is the upcoming edition set up?

“We are already seeing applications from more than 30 countries, including from other continents such as Australia, Africa, South and North America and Asia. Especially in the areas of technology, payment & logistics and carwash & carcare, international interest is clearly growing.”

What themes will UNITI expo cover next year – and where do you currently see the strongest growth?

“Our aim is to depict the full spectrum of a modern petrol station, energy trade or car wash. We currently see the strongest growth in the Carwash & Carcare sector and in the Shop-&-Convenience segment. Many relevant providers are also present in the fields of petrol station technology, digitalisation and alternative energies.”

With the Future Mobility Lounge, you put a central focus on the topic of alternative energies. What can visitors expect there?

“The Future Mobility Lounge will be significantly enlarged in 2026 and will highlight the full spectrum of alternative drive energies – technology-neutral, hands-on and in dialogue. Visitors will find solutions from electromobility to synthetic fuels and new energy options. The lounge will be complemented by thematic lectures and discussion rounds.”

What makes the UNITI expo especially interesting for exhibitors?

“We bring decision-makers from the petrol station and carwash industry together in one place. This is unique in Europe. Our compact set-up, short distances and the conveniently located location in Stuttgart make it extremely efficient to make new contacts and prepare concrete business.”

Many visitors are particularly interested in the fringe programme. What can they expect in it?

“A central component is the extensive lecture programme on the three stages – the UNITI expo Forum, the Carwash Forum and the International Forum – which take place on all trade fair days. In addition, visitors can again count on our big networking party on Tuesday evening.”
